July 2008. The North Face Rucky Chucky trail-running shoe is a couple ounces heavier than most, but reviews say its outstanding traction and stability make up for that. Tests show it has excellent traction even on mud, snow and ice. It has a semi-straight last, with some motion control to keep feet from overpronating. Reviews recommend The North Face Rucky Chucky trail-running shoe for challenging terrain, but there's not enough cushioning for running on roads.
