Yapta.com is a fare-tracking site that helps users find low airfares and hotel rates. Unlike other travel sites, Yapta.com continues to track prices after you've already purchased your ticket. If the fares in any part of your itinerary drop sufficiently after booking to offset any change or cancellation fees, Yapta.com will notify you so you can obtain refunds or credits on the difference. Yapta.com isn't a booking site, and it can't help you get a refund or credit on seats purchased through other booking sites -- you have to book directly through the airline to be eligible. If you want to search on rental cars, cruises and vacation packages, experts recommend Kayak.com, which uses the same flight search engine as Yapta.com.

Reviews covering Yapta.com's flight search capability prior to 2010 no longer apply, because the site now uses the same search engine as Kayak.com. However, the positive media reviews of Kayak.com's flight search now also applies to Yapta.com. A recent review at Travel and Leisure magazine does include Yapta.com in its list of 28 travel sites.
