For reviews of the ProForm CrossWalk 300 treadmill, we turned to Treadmill-Ratings-Reviews.com and TreadmillReview.net. Both sites include solid, well-balanced entries on the CrossWalk 300, although research rather than independent testing seems to be their primary information source. TreadmillDoctor.com is a better treadmill review site in general, but unfortunately there was no entry on the ProForm CrossWalk 300 at the time of our visit. Still, the general information on ProForm treadmills is almost as useful, especially since ProForm seems to change its model numbers regularly. There are also basic reviews on TreadmillTips.com and TreadmillAdviser.com.
Although the ProForm CrossWalk 300 has been discontinued, it is still easy to find at retail. At one time, reviewers said the ProForm CrossWalk 300 was the best choice for shoppers with a strict budget of less than $500. While other treadmills in that price range -- the Weslo Cadence G40 (*est. $275), for example -- get mostly criticism, some critics say the ProForm CrossWalk 300 is well engineered and has good features for its cost. Not many treadmills come with the ProForm CrossWalk's upper-body workout arms, a feature some reviewers say is a nice addition for a balanced workout. However, others questioned the CrossWalk 300's value when it cost $500, suggesting that its current $700 price at Amazon.com is not a good deal. Reviews say the ProForm CrossWalk 300 isn't a treadmill for serious training, and even moderate joggers may want to step up to the Sole F63 (*est. $1,000), which reviews say has an adequate deck and motor and a good warranty. Experts say serious runners should be prepared to spend upwards of $2,000 for a reliable treadmill.

Treadmill-Ratings-Reviews.com has a well-balanced review of the ProForm CrossWalk 300 treadmill. While author Fred Waters says it's better to "spend a few hundred more and get an upgraded model," he says the ProForm CrossWalk 300 is a good choice for those who don't want to go beyond this price range.

TreadmillReview.net says the ProForm CrossWalk 300 is significantly better than previous CrossWalk treadmills. Editors particularly like the upper body workout option, but they caution that the small tread belt size limits this model's usefulness for runners or taller walkers.
Review: ProForm CrossWalk 300 Treadmill Review, Editors at Treadmillreview.net
At the time of our visit, TreadmillDoctor.com hadn't included the ProForm CrossWalk 300 in its extensive selection of treadmill reviews. However, authors Clark and Jon Stevenson do discuss ProForm treadmills in general. While they don't recommend ProForm treadmills for serious runners, they say ProForm is a good budget option for walking and occasional use.
