Several reviews include a True treadmill as a high-end pick, but they are more likely to choose one of the less expensive True models -- such as the True PS300 (*est. $2,900) -- than the pricier True ES9.0. One exception is BornRich.org, a blog site dedicated to super-expensive products, but its review includes no real evaluation of the ES9.0. TreadmillDoctor.com and TreadmillTips.com both call the ES9.0 a best buy in its price range; TreadmillDoctor.com backs up its choice with numeric ratings. TreadmillTips.com's review mainly lists the treadmill's features, and author Aaron Co lists contradictory information about the True brand that is not in line with other reviews. Treadmill-Ratings-Reviews.com does not review the ES9.0 individually, but its analysis of the True brand includes both the reviewer's opinion and that of outside critics.
If you can afford any treadmill in the world, buy the True ES9.0, top experts advise. Reviews say the top-of-the-line model of this high-end brand offers a quiet ride, advanced cushioning, a roomy running surface (60 inches by 22 inches) and the ability to tilt both uphill and downhill, plus True's stellar customer service -- at about twice the price of other highly recommended upscale treadmills. The Bodyguard T460x (*est. $3,700) has very similar features for $2,000 less: Both treadmills include incline and decline features, up to 12 mph speed, a 400-pound user weight limit and the ability to automatically adjust the workout to keep your heart rate steady. The True ES9.0's 4-horsepower motor is slightly more powerful than the Bodyguard's 3.4-horsepower motor, but the Bodyguard includes a lifetime parts warranty that the True does not. If the decline feature is not important to you, experts say the less expensive Landice L7 Cardio Trainer (*est. $3,300) is an excellent value for serious runners. The Landice includes a 4-horsepower motor, stout running deck and heart rate programs like the True, and the lifetime warranty on its frame, parts and all wear items is more extensive than True's.

Fred Waters, a former treadmill industry executive, reviews the True brand as a whole. He says True treadmills are unquestionably good machines; the question is whether they're a good value, given their high price.

Reviewer Aaron Co calls the True ES9.0 a best buy in the over-$4,000 range. Co says the ES9.0 carries a "huge price tag," but he finds no weaknesses in the machine. However, in his overall review of the True brand, Co says he does not recommend True treadmills because they are overpriced and unreliable, with complaints about customer service.

This blog site, whose stated purpose is "to help you spend all your hard-earned money on the snootiest thingmazig around," is one of the few websites that dedicates space to the nearly $6,000 True ES9.0 treadmill. Despite its breezy, hip style, this review is little more than a recitation of the treadmill's features.
