QAM compatibility means it will work with unscrambled digital cable as well. However, there's no HDMI input (the best way to connect an HD cable box or Blu-ray player). The 26-inch Sharp LC-26DV24U is the larger sibling of the 22-inch Sharp LC-22DV24U. Resolution is actually lower, but at 1,366 pixels by 768 pixels it is perfect for watching 720 progressive-scan (720p) high-def… programming. Reviewers say picture quality is good; connectivity is ample, including HDMI and a digital-audio output; and the DVD player is capable and full featured. The built-in audio is not so great, but should suffice in a smaller space. A limited vertical viewing angle and a non-tilting stand can make placing the TV a challenge in some settings.

Otherwise, picture quality is stunning with excellent color reproduction and… above average screen uniformity. Extensive picture adjustments are available -- a rarity in a TV-DVD player combo. The built-in progressive-scan upconverting DVD player holds its own against typical standalone players and should keep all but the fussiest viewers happy.
