March 2009. Reviews say the space-saving, 15-inch Toshiba 15LV505 LCD TV-DVD combo is a good choice for kitchens and dorm rooms. This is a widescreen HDTV, but it lacks an HDMI input. We've seen some complaints of slow channel changing -- but that's a common issue with many digital tuners. The sound also doesn't get very loud -- that's fine for a bedroom, but could be a shortcoming in a busy kitchen. Picture quality is very good and the TV-DVD combo is easy to use. The TV is also available in white -- perfect for many kitchens -- as the 15LV506 (*est. $270). If you're looking for something a little bigger, you might want to consider the 22-inch Sharp LC-22DV24U (*est. $400) instead.
