The 13.3-inch HP Pavilion dv3510nr is a Best Buy exclusive and part of that retailer's Blue Label program, which aims to create products that have the features its customers demand most. Looking at the laundry list of what's included in the dv3510nr, it's hard to see any that have been missed. Features include a big 320 GB hard drive, discrete Nvidia graphics, 4 GB of memory, an LED backlit display, a backlit keyboard, an HDMI output, Bluetooth and much, much more. There's even Norton Internet Security with a full 12-month subscription -- though whether that's a plus or minus is subject to debate.

The included two-year warranty with the HP Pavilion dv3510nr is a year longer than average. The dv3510nr is not a screaming gaming machine, but graphics performance should leave most users happy -- and overall performance is generally very good. With all of this inside, it's not surprising that the dv3510nr stretches the boundaries of the ultraportable category, but at 4.6 pounds, it just makes the weight. If you are looking for a little lighter load to tote around, and want the very best applications performance, the Lenovo ThinkPad X200 (starting at $1,170) gets the most love from reviewers. The lack of an optical drive and the use of integrated graphics are the biggest negatives with the X200.

Though the Pavilion dv3510nr ultraportable laptop doesn't get a ton of professional reviews, it does get coverage from some of the top critics. The most detailed reviews can be found at Laptop Magazine and NotebookReview.com. CNET's review is a little shorter, but covers the essentials and is backed by testing. There are tons of user reviews at BestBuy.com -- the exclusive retailer for the HP Pavilion dv3510nr.

2. CNET

CNET is clearly captivated by the HP Pavilion dv3510nr, naming it an Editors' Choice. Matthew Elliott says that "This sleek-yet-loaded 13-inch laptop deserves a blue ribbon, too, for its all-around excellence and value." Unlike Laptop Magazine, battery life is complimented.

NotebookReview.com's Kevin O'Brien is less impressed with the HP Pavilion dv3510nr than most. The chief reason for that is build-quality issues with his sample, which was purchased at retail. Otherwise, he is impressed with performance, features and design.
