Lenovo ThinkPad X200 Tablet (Multi-Touch)

Best tablet PC
- Responsive multi-touch display
- Good battery life
- Great keyboard
- No touchpad
- Lacks integrated optical drive
- Expensive
The Lenovo ThinkPad X200 Tablet (Multi-Touch) adds a multi-touch capable display to the popular ThinkPad X200 Tablet (*Est. $1,500 and up), a laptop with a swiveling display that converts into a tablet. The multi-touch display responds to multi-touch gestures in addition to input from the included stylus. Whether or not the tablet is equipped with a multi-touch display, it includes a 160 GB hard drive, 2 GB of RAM and a 1.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo SU9400 processor. It weighs 4.2 pounds.
While reviewers have good impressions about the ThinkPad X200 Tablet, most experts say choosing the multi-touch screen makes it even better as that display is very responsive. Battery life is very good -- lasting seven hours in one test. Overall performance is good for a convertible tablet, but the Lenovo ThinkPad X200 Tablet (Multi-Touch) won't earn any speed awards. Several reviewers say the keyboard is the best of any tablet PC. If you don't need multi-touch functionality, experts say the original Lenovo ThinkPad X200 Tablet also remains an excellent choice and is cheaper.
