- Light and easy to fold
- Maneuverable
- Ample storage space
- Expensive
- Not many extra features compared to the Maclaren Triumph
- Not suitable for rough terrain
Overall, we found excellent reviews for the Maclaren Quest, which comes in two models, the Mod and the Sport, that differ only cosmetically. Most reviewers say durability and easy maneuverability are high points. The 12.2-pound Maclaren Quest, however, is very similar to the less expensive Maclaren Triumph (*est. $175). For the extra money, you get two extra reclining positions, some reflective accents, a UV viewing window in the sun canopy and an extendable leg rest -- additions that might not be worth the extra $50 more than the Maclaren Triumph, which is also highly rated. If you're looking for a basic umbrella stroller and don't need a reclining seat or much in the way of padding, the Maclaren Volo (*est. $90) gets high marks for quality and value.
We found plenty of reviews for the Maclaren Quest. It is included in a recent roundup by Which? magazine (the British equivalent of Consumer Reports in the U.S.), and is also dissected with typical attention to detail by StrollersAndPrams.com. Although the Maclaren Quest hasn't been evaluated by Consumer Reports, we did find dozens of helpful owner-written reviews. Parents posting at the "Baby Bargains" website (the companion to the best-selling book of the same name) go into great depth about the pros and cons of this umbrella stroller. The Maclaren Quest also receives a fair amount of comments from owners posting to Epinions.com.

1. Which? Online
In its recent roundup of strollers, Which? magazine selects the Maclaren Quest as a Best Buy. It's easy to push and steer, folds and unfolds easily and has a fair amount of storage space, editors say, but its small wheels aren't suited to rough terrain. Which? magazine is an excellent review publication, comparable to Consumer Reports.
Review: Pushchairs, Editors of Which?, Apr. 8, 2008
In this extremely detailed, hands-on review (accompanied by pictures), StrollersAndPrams.com's reviewer concludes that the Maclaren Quest Sport is comfortable and easy to use, but has a small, hard-to-reach basket and a seat recline that requires two hands. Also, the writer is concerned about how children tend to slump down in the seat.

About a dozen parents contribute detailed reviews of the Maclaren Quest Mod that give readers a very good idea of what to expect from this stroller. Parents like that the Quest is easy to push and fold, has tall handles, and doesn't weigh too much. Some say the canopy is small and there could be more storage space.
