Review Credibility: Excellent The 2011 edition of "Baby Bargains," written by consumer advocates Denise and Alan Fields, covers a variety of stroller manufacturers. The authors provide overall ratings for brands and for individual models. Their reviews take into account parent feedback and personal research and experiences. In the latest edition, they discuss UppaBaby in detail and the G-Luxe specifically.

Review Credibility: Very Good Editors of BabyGizmo.com put the UppaBaby G-Luxe on their list of top five lightweight, umbrella strollers. There is no review of the G-Luxe, merely a list of product features. BabyGizmo.com is such a credible source though; if they say it's a top five, it's probably a good pick.

Review Credibility: Very Good The UppaBaby G-Luxe receives a rating of 3.9 out of 5 stars based on about 90 customer reviews. Most contributors are very happy with the G-Luxe's low weight and ability to stand while folded -- however, some say the standing position isn't very stable. There are several quality issues mentioned by owners. One says the frame snapped in two, and another says a defective stroller folded up on a child. It appears that UppaBaby is quick to respond with replacements, but one of the contributors ultimately wanted to avoid the brand altogether due to numerous issues.

Review Credibility: Very Good The UppaBaby G-Luxe gets an overall rating of 4.7 stars based upon more than two dozen reviews. Owners say it's an almost perfect stroller, praising its light weight, sturdy construction and easy push. There are very few negative comments, although one reviewer says the cup holder falls off too easily.

Review Credibility: Good The UppaBaby G-Luxe wins the best lightweight stroller in the price category of under $200 in the Canadian Family 2011 stroller roundup. They like its sturdiness, ease of use and compact fold. They also say it is a good fit for tall people. Perspectives come from the editor and input from parents.

Review Credibility: Good Writer, frequent flyer and mom of two Corrine McDermott writes about baby-friendly travel, from product reviews to airline policies. In this article, she reviews the UppaBaby G-Luxe as a travel stroller. The review is highly positive -- she praises the G-Luxe's light weight, stylish appearance and ease of use. She also notes that it's a comfortable push for her tall husband.

Review Credibility: Good The UppaBaby G-Luxe is among the 32 umbrella-style strollers rated and tested by the editors of ConsumerReports.org for ease of use, maneuverability and safety (durability is no longer rated). While the testing is commendable, editors offer only a very brief editorial take on the strollers and offer few details. There are also a number of strollers in the roundup that are discontinued, making this seem dated.

Review Credibility: Fair This favorable review commends the UppaBaby G-Luxe for its lightweight, quality aluminum frame, the fact that it stands up folded and that is easy to fold down and lock. The reviewer's only negative comment is that the canopy does not stay in place.
