The Dyson DC25 Multi-Floor (formerly known as the DC25 All-Floors) is a high-end bagless vacuum that receives generally strong ratings from professional and user reviewers. Owners praise it for its power and maneuverability, though some find the attachment hose and tools awkward to use. In professional tests, the Dyson DC25 receives good scores for cleaning performance on carpets and bare floors, as well as for controlling allergens and pet hair. However, a number of owners complain about noise.
Like all Dyson models, the DC25 comes with a five-year warranty. We also found positive reviews for the Dyson DC28 Animal (*Est. $600), but this model is more expensive, larger and harder to maneuver under furniture. If you're looking for a less expensive bagless vacuum, the Hoover WindTunnel T-Series Rewind Plus Bagless UH70120 (*Est. $120) offers good performance for less than one-quarter the price of either Dyson model.
The most thorough tests of the Dyson DC25 are conducted by ConsumerReports.org and its U.K. equivalent, Which? magazine. Walmart.com has the most owner-written reviews of this model with nearly 1,500 ratings. We also found more than 1,000 user reviews at Amazon.com, Viewpoints.com, BestBuy.com and Epinions.com, most of them extremely positive.
