Thanks for shipping this product right out. We needed it for a student that we have in the school district. It is a great help. Thanks again
They will bombard you with telemarketing, November 16, 2009
Since buying this product over a year ago Nuance has bombarded me with telemarketing calls. They do not leave a message. I ask them to take me off the list but they don't.
Google - Nuance telemarketing - to see all the complaints. They show up on caller id as "new once"
Will Help Improve the Flow of Your Letters., November 14, 2009

Something is so often "lost" when I type a letter. I have a bad habit of stopping in the middle of a paragraph and going back to read the previous 2 or 3 sentences so I can figure out exactly what to type next. Plus there is the "mind-to-keyboard" bridge that is a further nuisance to me, and sentences don't always "connect" as they should. After the program's short voice-training period, I spoke 3 full paragraphs on my Windows XP system (with a good "Creative X-Fi Extreme" sound card), and there was only one wrong word. I was very impressed with its speed & accuracy (which does have a slider bar adjustment if needed). If you want to see it in action, there are a bunch of good video demo's on YouTube. It's hard to explain, but this program added a "warmness", and "natural flow" to my letters, just as if I were sitting there talking directly to the person I was writing. The reason is that because with this program, all you have to do is just sit there and talk naturally, (with no delays, distractions, or "over thinking" the next sentence), and the software does the rest.

WAIT 6 weeks or more?, November 6, 2009
I wish I would be reviewing the operational capacity and commenting on user friendliness of this promising item; but alas it has not been delivered. An update and communication from the Seller will always be appreciated by the Customer. I hope Customer Service and HELP will be more accessible should the need arise. :-( Jo Shue
talking to my computer, November 5, 2009
This dvice worked as discribed. I get very tired of typing all of the time and this was the ticket. I still don't use it as much as I want to because I feel funny talking to my computer while others are at home (Wife & Daugter). Hope to use this device more and more as time goes on. Very quick delivery!

1. The New York Times

Technology writer David Pogue favorably reviews NaturallySpeaking 10 Preferred, noting that the Standard version doesn't have the advanced editing and system command features mentioned in his evaluation but that the impressive results -- 99 percent accuracy -- are valid for both versions.

2. PC World

Although PC World's analysis is of the more advanced, Professional version of Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10, reviewer Aoife McEvoy also singles out NaturallySpeaking Standard. Commenting on the software's price and options, McEvoy indicates that while NaturallySpeaking 10 Professional is an excellent program, for typical home users who won't need high-end system commands the Standard option is a more appropriate and better priced choice.

3. Arstechnica.com

Not all reviewers do a great job of identifying the version of NaturallySpeaking 10 they're testing. This is the case with this report, but careful reading of the article seems to indicate that Nate Anderson is working with the Standard release. The bulk of the write-up focuses on whether or not it's worthwhile to upgrade from version 9 to 10 and concentrates on software improvements over the previous version.

4. Amazon.com

More than 150 owners of NaturallySpeaking 10 Standard have submitted user reviews to Amazon. The program rates an overall 3.5 out of five stars, marginally better than its more expensive sibling, NaturallySpeaking 10 Preferred. The complaints are consistent with those for other NaturallySpeaking versions: compatibility issues, particularly with Windows XP, Vista and 64-bit computer systems, and technical support that is both expensive and not helpful. Some issues -- such as the lack of a 64-bit version -- have since been addressed by Nuance.
