The Presto 03510 FlipSide Belgian Waffle Maker cooks one round Belgian waffle at a time. It has a digital timer but no temperature control, so it may not be a good choice if you want to use it for whole grain waffles, which usually call for a longer cooking time at a lower temperature. Like pro-style waffle irons, the Presto FlipSide can be flipped over while cooking, but instead of rotating, the user flips the cooking plate from right to left. This takes a little more effort than rotating the handle on a pro-style waffle iron, but the Presto is also much less expensive. Users posting reviews to retailer websites say the waffle iron works well and is sturdy, but we did read a few complaints about the timer, which requires a battery. Another Belgian waffle maker, the VillaWare V2002 Uno Classic Round Waffler (*Est. $45) receives stronger recommendations overall but doesn't flip over.
