The Nova GetGo Classic 4202C is a budget-friendly rollator that offers comfort, light weight and easy, compact folding at a moderate price. Storage is in a closed, zippered pouch under the seat. Some users prefer this to a front basket, since under-seat storage makes it easier to get close to a counter or cabinet, and keeps belongings private and secure. The seat is padded, and a padded, curved backrest flips up for compact folding. Reviewers say the walker's brakes are effective and easy to use. The GetGo Classic measures 24 inches wide, so if you have 24-inch bathroom doors, you'll have to turn the walker sideways to get through.
Assembly requires no tools, and Nova's customer service and warranty are well regarded by users. That's important because some walker components -- such as tires and seats -- are subject to wear over time. A low-cost walker for users shorter than 5 feet, 4 inches, the Nova GetGo Petite 4208 (*Est. $110) includes a removable front basket; seat padding is an extra option (*Est. $20). If your budget allows, the higher-end Nova Cruiser Deluxe 4202 (*Est. $160) has larger wheels for easier maneuverability over various surfaces, including gravel and even snow. At 23 inches wide, it also fits better through narrow doorways, but it has a wider seat and is a bit heavier.
There's no mention of malfunctioning Nova GetGo walkers in the Food and Drug Administration database of adverse incident reports. We found the most user-written reviews and ratings of the GetGo Classic 4202C at Walgreens.com, SpinLife.com and Costco.com. Amazon.com and Wayfair.com contribute less owner feedback, but it's still useful. A YouTube video by Nova's founder Sue Chen provides a comprehensive overview of what to consider when choosing a rolling walker.
