April 2009. The Frigidaire Affinity ATF6700F is a mid-price front-loading washer that has a larger door and more stylish appearance than most models in this price range. It has a 3.5-cubic-foot capacity and the usual range of features found in front-loading washing machines, including several wash and temperature settings, as well as a stainless-steel drum. It has a smaller footprint than most front-loading washers, and owners say it fits easily into small laundry rooms. Unlike most front-loaders, the Frigidaire Affinity washer takes only 55 minutes to complete a wash cycle, but a few owners complain that clothes don't always come out clean. As with most front-loading washers, we read a variety of complaints about vibration, noise, breakdowns and mold growth. The Amana NFW7200TW (*est. $650) costs less and gets better reviews, and its door seal has an antibacterial treatment to inhibit mold growth.
