All of the reviews we've read agree that the Sigg Traveler has its limitations. Its aluminum construction makes it dent easily, take up space and heat up quickly in hot climates. Owners, however, like the Sigg's 144-plus designs, as well as its fresh-tasting water and its screw-top cap, which prevents spills. Its lifetime warranty is among the best in the industry.

Highly informative roundups of water bottles on Slate.com, About.com and the blog Gardenaut weigh in on the Sigg Traveler water bottle, as do owners at REI.com and Amazon.com.

1. Slate.com

Though Slate.com reviewer Laura Moser calls Sigg water bottles "functional baubles," she appreciates that the aluminum they're made from doesn't easily dent and the narrow mouth prevents spills. She does worry about their portability, though.

2. Gardenaut (blog)

Blogger Jeremiah McNichols is no fan of the Sigg Traveler water bottle. Though he does love the styling, he adds that the surface scratches easily and the metal dents. He believes people are paying for style and not for quality.

3. About.com

About.com guide Wendy Bumgardner echoes other reviewers' concerns about the Sigg bottle. Though she says the aluminum is lightweight, it's also "prone to quickly heating up or cooling down and sweating in humid climates." (Note: ConsumerSearch is owned by About.com, but the two don't share an editorial affiliation.)
