- Reviews of older versions of the Logitech QuickCam for Notebooks Deluxe have complimented video quality (with sufficient lighting). Except for flesh tones, color is good. It has a built-in microphone with good sound quality, along with manual focus control.
- Reviewers say low-light performance is the Achilles heel of the Logitech QuickCam for Notebooks Deluxe. It has no auto-focus, and some say the USB cable is short.
None of the reviews we found address the most recent version of the Logitech QuickCam for Notebooks Deluxe, but we found some good reviews for older versions, which say it's an above average laptop webcam. Furthermore, reviewers definitively prefer webcams from Logitech over those from Microsoft and Creative. In general we found the strongest reviews for the Logitech QuickCam for Notebooks Deluxe (*est. $65) which includes a noise-cancelling microphone, a glass lens instead of plastic and higher resolution.
Logitech has reissued this Logitech QuickCam for Notebooks Deluxe (April 2007) without changing the name -- something the company has done several times.This is a real problem for consumers looking for reviews, since it's hard to be sure which version is being reviewed. We haven't found any reviews yet for the latest iteration, but in general, changes appear to be mainly cosmetic. The Logitech QuickCam for Notebooks Deluxe no longer includes Mac drivers.

At the time of our visit, no one had yet posted user reviews for the latest version of the Logitech QuickCam for Notebooks Deluxe, but this is the spot to check in the future. Earlier versions appear to be technologically similar, but this model now has a different clip for laptop screens, so we hope to see this feature reviewed in the future.
