The Creative Sound Blaster World of Warcraft Wireless Headset is one of the few wireless headsets designed for gamers which reviewers, on the whole, like. The "World of Warcraft"-themed styling includes glowing multi-colored Alliance and Horde logos on the ear cups, and the built-in microphone has an FX setting that changes players' voices to sound like game characters. But reviewers find that the underlying sound quality is quite good, making them a suitable choice for non-gamers too. The Sound Blasters feature a close-cupped design, but they fold flat when not in use. The headset is controlled with slick software that is fully compatible with both PCs and Macs. However, reviewers say that the headset's simulated surround sound could be better, and some think that the Sound Blasters have a little too much plastic for the price. Though it's a little more expensive, the Logitech G930 (Est. $110) also gets strong reviews for sound quality.
We found a number of in-depth assessments of Creative's most distinctive wireless headset. The Sound Blaster World of Warcraft Wireless Headset is lauded by PC World and TomsGuide.com, though critics at Pocket-Lint.com are slightly less impressed.
