Edmunds.com	Editors' Most Wanted Vehicles for 2007 Editors of Edmunds.com Not Dated		Edmunds.com tests new cars as they hit the market, evaluating cars for the usual performance factors and sometimes making comparisons to the competition. In addition to reviews, editors place the highest-rated car on lists of recommended vehicles. A section for convertibles is included, and picks are made in price ranges from "under $25,000" to "over $60,000."
2. Car and Driver >> Details/Subscribe	2007 10Best Cars Csaba Csere and Tony Swan Jan. 2007		Car and Driver puts out a 10 Best list annually, and they have been doing so for over 20 years. Unfortunately, there is no car specifically mentioned as "best convertible," though many convertibles make the list for 2007. The quality of research and the credibility of Car and Driver's list in the automobile market make this list one of the best available.
3. Consumer Reports >> Details/Subscribe	Convertibles – Recommended Models Editors of Consumer Reports Not Dated		Consumer Reports continually does research on automobiles. They focus on safety and reliability, but notes on performance are also made. While many reviews are written for people who have an advanced knowledge of cars, Consumer Reports writes for the average consumer. A ratings chart is accompanied by lists of recommended models. Editors sometimes don't specifically test convertibles; sometimes the sedan version is tested and the convertible version is recommended. At the time of our visit, editors had not yet tested notable new models like the Saturn Sky or Volkswagen Eos.
4. KBB.com	Recommended Shopping Lists - Convertibles Staff of KBB.com Not Dated		KBB.com is the online home of Kelley Blue Book, most noted for offering the values of new and used vehicles. In addition, their website houses a vast library of automotive reviews and advice. For 2007, the staff has recommended ten convertibles: five under $30,000 and five over $30,000. However, the picks don't appear to be listed in any particular order.

Cars.com	Head to Head: 2007 Volvo C70 vs. 2007 Volkswagen Eos David Thomas and Mike Hanley Oct. 2006		This review takes a look at two of the lower-priced hardtop convertibles on the market, the Volvo C70 and the Volkswagen Eos. Both of the cars receive favorable feedback, but in the end the Volvo C70 wins out over the Eos due to its safety, more aggressive styling and, as the review states, "panache." The Volkswagen Eos does get excellent feedback in terms of technological innovations and lower sticker price.
6. Cars.com	Top Picks for Sun Lovers Editors of Cars.com Not Dated		We like the reviews at Cars.com. Although they are sometimes short, they are easy to read. In addition, editors often reprint reviews from other publications in the same section for each car, so it's possible to read six or seven reviews in succession. Each year, Cars.com editors make a number of picks in various categories, including convertibles. In addition to picks for the best new-for-2007 convertible and the best value, other considerations are also listed, with links to full reviews.

InsideLine.com	2007 BMW M6 Convertible vs. 2007 Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Chris Walton Feb. 9, 2007		This head-to-head review considers two convertible competitors, both of which cost well over $100,000. As you might expect in this price range, editors aren't really able to recommend one over the other. But the writeup makes a good read if you are considering these two convertibles.

Car and Driver >> Details/Subscribe	12 New Convertibles for 2007 – Fun in the Sun Tony Quiroga May 2006		This noncritical list includes a dozen notable convertibles from 2006 and 2007 model years, but editors don't try to rank them. However, this is a good landing page for convertibles, and links to full reviews are provided.
9. ForbesAutos.com	Convertibles Bengt Halvorson Sept. 2006		This convertible listing at ForbesAutos.com is an excellent look into the depth and breadth of the drop-top market. The ten selected convertibles range from the elite Bentley Continental GTC to the value-priced Saturn Sky, but no specific recommendations are made. There is a lot of information on all ten vehicles listed, as well as the option of looking at the convertibles in a slide-show format.

Automobile Magazine >> Details/Subscribe	Convertibles Feature: The Best Cars for any Budget Editors of Automobile Magazine Not Dated		Editors of Automobile Magazine make convertible recommendations in six price ranges, choosing two cars for each category. In addition, there are a number of other cars listed in each category as "others to consider." The only problem with this is that it includes nearly every convertible on the market and leaves some question as to the testing procedures and qualifications for the list.

Motor Week >> Details/Subscribe	Drivers' Choice Awards Editors of MotorWeek Not Dated		As on many automotive review sites, the staff of MotorWeek picks what it considers to be the highest-rated cars. For 2007, the winner as the Best Convertible is the Volkswagen Eos. According to the review, the Eos earns this rating due to a powerful combination of appealing amenities, an excellent display of engine strength and a price tag underneath the $30,000 mark.
12. IntelliChoice.com	Best Overall Values of the Year Editors of IntelliChoice.com Not Dated		IntelliChoice.com bases its picks in large part on practical aspects like long-term costs and predicted resale value, an interesting point of view not often considered in other reviews. In the convertible category, the Volkswagen New Beetle is chosen by editors. A high resale value helps propel the Beetle convertible to the top.

Robb Report >> Details/Subscribe	Robb Report Editors Name Bentley Continental GTC 2007 Car of the Year Editors of Robb Report Jan. 2007		Robb Report caters to luxury goods and services, including cars. The Bentley Continental GTC gets the nod for driving experience, handling, exterior design and lack of compromise in terms of performance. Thirteen cars were tested by the judging panel, which included Robb Report editors and automotive professionals. Editors say this was a landslide victory.

14. eGMCarTech.com	Top Ten Hardtop Convertibles in 2007 Editors of eGMCarTech.com Mar. 2007		With hardtop convertibles being the topic of conversation for the current model year, eGMCarTech.com delivers this report of the top ten hardtops. However, there's no critical data here -- it's just a list of cars.
15. Auto Site	2007 Editors' Choice Awards Editors of Autosite.com Not Dated		Autosite.com gives an extensive list of what they believe to be the best vehicles for the current model year. In terms of convertibles, the Volkswagen Eos tops the list. Price, luxury touches, performance and safety are highlights. Finally, the reviewer notes that the Volkswagen is a tough competitor for the much pricier Volvo C70. Testing details aren't clear and the writeup is very short.
16. TopSpeed.com	Alfa Romeo Spyder – Gay Car of the Year 2007 Simona Alina Mar. 2007		This piece gives a listing of the top ten "gay cars" for 2007, with the leader being the Alfa Romeo Spyder, which earned 87 points. Unfortunately, neither this piece nor the source that was cited here have any information on the testing criteria or justification for inclusion.
