The Infiniti M45 Sport was the most exciting car for the price overall. Editors say detailing is great, but the interior gets some mild criticism. Some testers found the lane-departure warning system annoying. This review gets the highest rating here because it's a multipage comparison between four cars.
2. Edmunds.com	Editors' Most Wanted Vehicles for 2007 Editors of Edmunds.com Not Dated		Every year the editors of Edmunds.com extensively test the current models and choose their personal favorites. For 2007, four cars on the list fit into the luxury category. The Infiniti M35 and Infiniti M45 are the best option for under $45,000, while the BMW 5-Series is the best sedan under $60,000 and the Audi A8 is the top sedan over $60,000. Clicking on each vehicle brings up a small blurb detailing what makes the vehicle stand out among the competition, and clicking again brings up a full detailed review.

Motor Trend >> Details/Subscribe	2006 Bentley Continental Flying Spur vs. 2007 Mercedes-Benz S600 Matt Stone Not Dated		This five-page review at Motor Trend compares two upper-echelon luxury sedans. Out of the two, the Mercedes-Benz S600 is said to be the better option, and it was also chosen as one of the finalists for the 2007 Motor Trend Car of the Year. Editors note that in this price range, both cars are actually excellent, and that choosing an ultimate winner was "one of the closest calls we've had to make."
4. Cars.com	Cars.com Comparison: Luxury Sports Sedans Mike Hanley and Joe Weisenfelder Dec. 2006		Taking a look at three of the most popular luxury sedans on the market, Cars.com compares the Acura TL Type-S, BMW 335i and Infiniti G35 Sport in an easy-to-read, point-by-point performance test. The comparison is broken down into sections, with a winner chosen in each. All three vehicles take the lead in at least one area, yet in the end the BMW 335i tops the Acura and the Infiniti. These cars are more sports sedans than luxury cars, and they are also covered in our report on sports sedans.
5. ForbesAutos.com	Top 10 Most Extreme Luxury Sedans Stephan Wilkinson Feb. 2007		ForbesAutos.com doesn't waste time looking at the lower-end luxury sedans; instead, this article only includes the most expensive, most over-the-top luxury cars. The article lists ten vehicles in ascending order, finishing with the vehicle that they consider to be the most "extreme" -- the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG. The Mercedes takes the title because it offers a ton of power while still looking classy, and it offers an air of exclusivity that cannot be found in many other vehicles. We appreciate the reviews at Forbes Autos since they have a definite point of view, focusing more on performance and cachet than value.

Consumer Reports >> Details/Subscribe	Luxury sedan reviews Editors of Consumer Reports As of May 2007		Consumer Reports anonymously buys cars for testing rather than accepting test vehicles from car companies, a tactic that editors say insures that their results are accurate and unbiased. This reviewer focuses more on safety and historical reliability than other reviewers. The reviews themselves aren't as detailed as those from other magazines, but the ratings chart is easy to read and quickly gives readers an overview. Editors select a handful of cars as best in the luxury class.
7. KBB.com	Recommended Shopping Lists: Luxury Sedans Editors of KBB.com Not Dated		KBB.com is the online home of Kelley Blue Book. Reviews here are fun to read, but editors don't compare cars as much as other reviewers, and since there's no overall ratings or ranking system, it's hard to get an idea of where cars stand in relation to each other. This shopping list of luxury sedans lists ten sedans -- but doesn't indicate which might deserve first consideration. As you might expect, the usual suspects are represented on this list, including the Audi A8, BMW 5-series, Infiniti M, Lexus GS and Cadillac DTS.
8. CNet.com	Editors' top luxury tech cars Wayne Cunningham Feb. 2007		Technology reviewer CNet.com has been reviewing cars for a year or so. And as you might expect for a website that mainly reviews televisions and digital cameras, the reviews and ratings focus on automotive technology and innovation. That gives these reviews a unique point of view. Each tested car gets an editors' rating, and the highest-scoring cars land on this frequently updated list of top luxury cars. With a perfect score, the 2007 Lexus LS 460L currently occupies the top spot, and editors say they really couldn't find any criticisms. These reviews are a good read, offering something unique to the auto-review landscape.

Money Magazine >> Details/Subscribe	Most Reliable New Cars Named by Consumer Reports Editors of Money magazine Nov. 2006		Money magazine mainly offers its take on reviews and ratings conducted by Consumer Reports magazine. However, you don't need a subscription to read Money magazine online, so non-Consumer Reports subscribers can get a taste of the magazine's picks here. In this article, Money comments on reliability ratings, along with a photo gallery of most reliable cars. Among luxury sedans, the Infiniti M and 2006 Lexus LS are rated most highly. The Cadillac STS V8 holds the distinction of least reliable, followed by several other low-scoring luxury cars.

Kiplinger Personal Finance >> Details/Subscribe	2007 Cars: Our Slide Show Gallery of Top Picks Mark Solheim and Jessica Anderson Nov. 2006		Each year, Kiplinger's revises this buyer's guide, which complements a series of excellent reference articles on this site about auto insurance, leasing, driving and safety tips. Picks are weighted toward value, reliability and running costs. In the luxury category, the Mercedes-Benz S550 wins the Best Overall rating. The Lexus LS 460 is the most notable new car. Other cars are notable for fuel economy, resale value and safety. While not very detailed, this short article makes a good case for its ratings.

Consumer Guide.com	Consumer Guide's Best Buys and Recommendations for 2007 Editors of ConsumerGuide.com Nov. 2006		Consumer Guide is an excellent source for pricing and options information, and editors also include road-test results. However, reviews are mainly summarized in numerical scores instead of a narrative review. Reviews are not comparative, although readers can compare scores of competing cars. Editors select highest-rated cars as a Best Buy, Recommended or One to Watch picks. The Audi A4 and BMW 3-Series are the best buys in compact luxury cars, the Acura TL, Infiniti M and Lexus ES 350 are considered best in the midsize luxury category and the Mercedes-Benz S-Class is the sole leader in the large luxury sedan category.
12. Insurance Institute for Highway Safety	Top Safety Pick 2007 Award Winners IIHS Not Dated		The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety is one of the major organizations that conduct crash testing for nearly every car and truck on the market. Only a handful of tested vehicles attain the highest crash-test rating of "good" in every crash position (frontal offset, side and rear). Along with the best crash-test scores, cars receiving an award must also come with electronic stability control (or offer it as an option). Only the Audi A6 meets this criterion among luxury cars.

13. Cars.com	Hot Luxury Cars of 2007 Mike Hanley Feb. 2007		Cars.com offers this list of ten "hot" luxury cars, but the criteria for making the list is not explained. Links lead to full reviews for each car, which are more insightful than this list. No car is particularly recommended over another. That said, the Volvo S80 and Infiniti G35 are noted in the "near-luxury" class, while the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and the Lexus LS 460 are highlighted luxury cars. The Bentley Continental GTC is noted as being the best "ultraluxury" car.

IntelliChoice.com	2007 Best Overall Values of the Year Editors of IntelliChoice.com Not Dated		IntelliChoice uses an analysis of relevant data to predict which vehicles will have the lowest long-term costs. Those that perform the best are awarded the title of "Best Overall Value of the Year." In terms of luxury sedans, the top choice is the Lexus ES 350. While it is interesting to see that the vehicle represents such a value, there is a lack of other information compared to other reviews. Links lead to a short description.

IFCAR.net	IFCAR's Picks for Best-in-Class Staff of IFCAR.net Not Dated		IFCAR, the Institute for Consumer Automotive Reviews, lists its picks for the top considerations in a given class, but the criteria for inclusion aren't well explained. Links to several more thorough comparison reviews are available for some classes, but editors don't have a current comparison for luxury cars. The Infiniti M-Series is the top pick among luxury sedans. As for the ultra-lux, the title goes to the 2006 Lexus LS 430, although the LS 460 is mentioned as having the same positive features.

16. eGMCarTech.com	Face off Friday: Japanese Luxury Sedans Staff of eGMCarTech.com Feb. 23, 2007		eGMCarTech.com is a car-review blog, but there's no information on its authors. The comparison reviews on "Face off Friday" are fun to read, but don't appear to be based on hands-on tests. Nonetheless, this site offers an innovative feature: Face-off Fridays. Several recent entries tackle luxury sedans. This particular piece places the Acura RL ahead of the Infiniti M35. Other recent comparisons name the Mercedes-Benz S550 over the BMW 750Li by a nose. The Audi Q7 is chosen over the BMW X5, also by a narrow margin.
17. BuyingAdvice.com	5 Most Reliable Sedans (Luxury) Editors of BuyingAdvice.com Oct. 17, 2006		BuyingAdvice.com weighs historical reliability to come up with this short list. However, unfortunately, there's little information on this site about who's making these picks, and no editors or authors are identified, which makes this site less credible than others. Tops for reliability are said to be the Lexus GS series, followed by the Lexus LS and Infiniti M35.

San Jose Mercury News >> Details/Subscribe	2007 Luxury Sedans Matt Nauman Feb. 2007		This article looks at what can only be assumed are the top five picks of luxury sedans for the current model year. Unfortunately, this sentiment is only insinuated in the article, and there is no noted method for selection. However, the review looks at the finer points of the BMW 3-Series, Lexus ES 350, Lexus LS 460, Mercedes-Benz S-Class and Volvo S80. There is a short writeup for each car, as well as a slide show.

19. Splise	Luxury Cars Staff of Splise.com Not Dated		This odd website publishes several lists of cars, based on scanty data. Apparently, these are top picks of some kind, but there's no information about how these ratings are made, or who might be doing the choosing.
