What the reviewers like:
Reviewers said the 2007 Chrysler Town & Country minivan offers good looks, a decent ride and handling, good visibility and a kid-proof interior. Experts and owners also liked the Chrysler Town & Country's roomy and luxurious interior, including optional fold-flat second- and third-row seats. The 2007 Town & Country is also less expensive than the Honda Odyssey or Toyota Sienna minivans from the same model year. What the reviewers don't like: Most experts agreed that the 2007 Chrysler Town & Country minivan does not handle, accelerate or ride as well as its competitors from Honda and Toyota. This minivan's lack of a stability-control system or full-length side-curtain airbags is also a negative. Some pointed out that the Kia Sedona (price when new: $20,495 to $26,195), re-introduced in 2006, is in a similar price range as the Town & Country but gets better crash-test scores. Long-term reliability for the Chrysler Town & Country minivan has historically been below average. 2007 Chrysler Town and Country review highlights Reviewers agreed that the 2007 Chrysler Town & Country was a good value compared to other 2007 minivans, but reviewers said its design was outdated (the Town & Country saw a complete redesign in 2008). The 2007 Town & Country minivan's handling, acceleration and braking weren't judged quite as nice as the competition. Several reviewers described the Chrysler minivan as "pleasant," but noted that long-term predicted reliability is below average. Many of these issues, particularly those of design, were addressed with the major Town & Country redesign that Chrysler unveiled in late 2007. The 2007 Chrysler Town & Country received a thorough and detailed review at Edmunds.com, where editors compared it to the minivan competition. Consumer Reports also published their take on the Chrysler Town & Country, but editors last road-tested this minivan in 2005. Automotive.com’s detailed review of the 2006 Town & Country minivan focused more on features than performance, and other than brief buyer's-guide capsule reviews, Car and Driver magazine didn’t evaluate the Town & Country between 2004 and its 2008 redesign. Since the Town & Country wasn't substantially revised in that time period, these older reviews still have validity when researching the 2007 Town & Country. Be aware that the 2008 model was completely redesigned. Also see full report: Minivans *In order of credibility (see our Ratings Criteria).1.
