What the reviewers like:
Reviewers said the 2007 Honda Odyssey handles nimbly, has a powerful yet smooth and economical engine, and is fun to drive. Experts also praised the Odyssey's folding rear bench seat and long list of standard features. Historically, the Odyssey has a good reliability record, high resale value, high safety marks, a car-like ride and plenty of power.

What the reviewers don't like:
Despite their overwhelmingly positive impressions, reviewers acknowledged that some Honda Odyssey minivans are expensive, especially when loaded with options.

2007 Honda Odyssey review highlights

Reviewers agreed that, among its 2007 contemporaries (and indeed for several years running), the Honda Odyssey is the minivan to beat. Only the Toyota Sienna (price when new: $24,155 to $37,665) comes close when it comes to full-featured 2007 minivans. In fact, regardless of model year, the Honda Odyssey is the best bet in used minivans, with a higher than average reliability record, and above average resale value. Its user-satisfaction ratings are extremely high overall.

The Honda Odyssey is traditionally one of the most-reviewed minivans on the market, and nearly every auto magazine or website has had something to say about the Odyssey. We found the best coverage at Edmunds.com, where editors compared the 2007 Odyssey to its primary competition, the Toyota Sienna. The ’07 version of Car and Driver's annual 5 Best Trucks article included the Honda Odyssey, which was also featured in reviews at IntelliChoice.com, Consumer Reports and Cars.com.

Edmunds.com didn't test the Honda Odyssey head-to-head with other minivans, but its editors did compare it to its closest ’07 rival, the Toyota Sienna. In a separate article, editors highlighted the Honda Odyssey as one of the Most Wanted Cars for 2007.

Interestingly, Car and Driver magazine compared the 2007 Honda Odyssey to the Hyundai Entourage and the redesigned Nissan Quest, rather than to its primary competitor, the Toyota Sienna. However, this review is still quite useful; editors said the Honda Odyssey minivan is almost in a class of its own. They also praised its "fun-to-drive" factor, and named it one of the magazine's 5 Best Trucks.
