2007 Nissan Quest Review

(*est. $24,350 to $33,900)

This page is part of a larger ConsumerSearch report on Minivans which includes more reviews, analysis and a summary of the top-rated models.

What the reviewers like:
Reviewers agreed that the Nissan Quest has good looks, a powerful engine, and scores well in crash tests. It also has more aggressive styling that may appeal to buyers looking for a more stylish minivan. The Quest has a very roomy interior, especially when its rear seats are folded to the floor, and it's among the fastest minivans, with excellent on-road stability.

What the reviewers don't like:
Reviewers said the Nissan Quest can be expensive if you pile up the options. Its rear seat does not split, and Nissan recommends that you use premium gasoline. Long-term historical reliability might be the biggest issue for buyers. Owners reported that repairs run much higher than average over time.

2007 Nissan Quest review highlights

Overall, the consensus of reviewers was that the 2007 Nissan Quest is a good runner-up to the top-rated minivans from Honda and Toyota. Caveats included Nissan's price, and the fact that its third-row seat doesn't split to fold -- a feature that's almost standard on competing minivans. Reviews said handling is responsive, and the 2007 Nissan Quest has a more modern look . The Quest has a very spacious interior, but cargo space behind the third-row seat is cramped. The biggest issue for the Quest is long-term reliability, which has been well below average.

Edmunds.com has the most credible review of the 2007 Nissan Quest (price when new: $24,350 to $33,900); editors compared this model in depth to the class leaders from the same model year, the Honda Odyssey (price when new: $25,645 to $39,095) and Toyota Sienna (price when new: $24,155 to $37,665). Second on our list of reviews is Consumer Reports, which focused on safety and reliability, based on extensive owner surveys. Automotive.com ran a detailed review of the Nissan Quest in 2007, focusing more on features than performance, and other than brief buyer's-guide capsule reviews, Car and Driver magazine has not evaluated the Quest minivan since 2004.
