At TireRack.com, a retail site, over 300 owners provide detailed ratings of the Blizzak DM-Z3. Staff there also test and review the tire, but compare it with all-weather and regular tires rather than with other winter tires. Reviews recommend the Bridgestone Blizzak DM-Z3 as the best snow tire for SUVs and light trucks - especially in harsh winter climates where performance on snow and ice is critical. Unlike most winter tires, the Bridgestone Blizzak DM-Z3 also earns high ratings for performance on dry and wet pavements. The main drawbacks are fast treadwear and a less than smooth ride.
