What the reviewers like:
Reviewers say that the ergonomics and comfort of the Logitech MX610 cordless mouse are great. The Logitech mouse will shut off with the computer to save battery life. Reviewers also like the tilt-wheel-plus-zoom feature. Wireless range is fine, and reviews say tracking is accurate. It's unmatched for left-handed users.

What the reviewers don't like:
The Logitech MX610 cordless laser mouse is not the best choice for gaming; although performance is decent, reviewers say most serious gamers will be happier with a higher-resolution gaming mouse.

Logitech MX610 Laser Cordless Mouse review highlights

Judging from reviews, the Logitech MX610 cordless mouse was perhaps the best general-purpose mouse available when introduced a few years ago. Since then, the Logitech MX Revolution (*est. $70) has surpassed it, but the Revolution is much more expensive. If you are left-handed, the Logitech MX610 mouse does have one unmatched advantage -- it comes in two versions: one for left-handers and another for righties. All other mice are either contoured for righties or symmetric, which reviewers say is not the most comfortable for anyone.

*In order of credibility (see our Ratings Criteria).

1. Virtual-Hideout.net
Logitech MX610 Left-Hand Laser Cordless Mouse Review
Peter "Stygian" Chng
May 19, 2006

Although this review is not as extensive as some on this site, testing is extensive. The conclusion competently identifies Logitech MX610's position in the marketplace, but the reviewer fails to mention that other brands offer mice that could be used by left-handers.

2. Trusted Reviews
Logitech MX610 Left-Hand Cordless Mouse Review
Benny Har-Even
Feb. 22, 2007

Even as a left-hander, Benny Har-Even had to adjust to using the Logitech MX610 cordless left-handed mouse. The review makes a key comparison with the Logitech MX Revolution and leaves readers with a good idea of whether the mouse is a good choice for them.

3. CoolTechZone.com
Logitech MX610: Laser Cordless Mouse Review
Gundeep Hora
May 1, 2006

CoolTechZone.com is a prolific reviewer of mice, including the Logitech MX610 laser cordless mouse. Testing is lengthy and extensive. Appropriate comparisons are made, although this review is dated. That weakens Gundeep Hora's recommendation because mice aren't rated or ranked, so we don't know if Hora still thinks the Logitech MX610 is the best in its class.

4. Dream Ware Computers.com
Logitech MX610 Laser Cordless Mouse Review
Steve Blackwell

This Canadian website offers a basic, competent review of the Logitech MX610 cordless mouse, but the review is overly focused on features. Depth of testing is not explained and no comparisons are made. This is a generic review with a high product rating.

5. CNet.com
Logitech MX610 Left-Hand Laser Cordless Mouse Review
Michelle Thatcher
Feb. 5, 2007

CNet.com reviews lots of mice, but the reviews are short and testing isn't well documented. In this review, Michelle Thatcher doesn't mention the original Logitech MX610, which CNet reviewed more than a year earlier and rated lower. Thus, readers don't know if the lefty mouse earns its current rating because it stands out as a specialty product, or if the difference is an editorial oversight.
