What the reviewers like:
Reviews say the Logitech QuickCam Pro 5000 has very good video and audio quality. It works well in low light, but face-tracking requires good lighting. It includes a six-foot cable and a built-in microphone. Mounting is easy, and reviews say it is easy to use. What the reviewers don't like: Some reviews say the built-in microphone on the Logitech QuickCam Pro 5000 lets in too much background noise. It has no manual focus ring. Other webcams in this price range get better reviews. Logitech QuickCam Pro 5000 review highlights Overall, reviews of the Logitech QuickCam Pro 5000 are mixed. Some rate it very highly, while others rate it as only average. One consideration to note is that it has a lower resolution than many similarly priced and highly rated webcams, including Logitech’s QuickCam Fusion (*est. $65). We found the most credible review for the Microsoft QuickCam Pro 5000 at Cowboy Frank.net, even though this review lacks detail, and only makes a minor direct comparison. CNet's review of the Logitech QuickCam Pro 5000 is similar in nature. Lordpercy.com has a short, but highly credible and practical review. ConsumerGuide.com has a short review of the Logitech QuickCam Pro 5000 that incorrectly states the webcam has no face-tracking feature. We found good user reviews at CircuitCity.com.
