1.  XP Medical.com Adult Diaper Review and Testing

Gary Evans

As of Jan. 2008
reviews rating XP Medical tests and rates all the adult diapers it sells. Each model is measured both dry and wet, as well as being tested for liquid retention capacity, effective moisture distribution and leakage potential. Abena’s X-Plus is rated "the best adult diaper on the market." Even though this is a retail website, we found the testing to be appropriate and balanced. Downsides are that comfort is not addressed, and mainstream supermarket brands such as Depend are not included.
2.  Incontinence Resource Center Diaper Reviews

Editors of Incontinence Resource Center

As of Jan. 2008
reviews rating Incontinence Resource Center rates 17 brands of diapers according to several criteria, including both wet and dry comfort, absorbency, rewet absorbency and ease of removal. They mention that they test the diapers, but fail to describe how exactly testing is conducted. Abena gets the highest ratings here, with top marks for fit, ease of use, comfort while dry and absorbency. Walgreens store brand does poorly, rating average or below average on all criteria. While not detailed, reviews are critical, and most major brands are evaluated.

3.  Incontinence Support Center The New Diaper Primer

Editors of Incontinence Support Center

2005
reviews rating The New Diaper Primer is an excellent source of information on wearing diapers for incontinence. While diapers aren’t compared directly, the authors say MoliCare makes an excellent premium diaper. They caution against what they call "cheaper store brand diapers," saying they are prone to leakage. However, no test results are provided to backup that assessment.

4.  Magic Medical Which one is right for you?

Editors of Magic Medical

As of Jan. 2008
reviews rating Magic Medical carries a good selection of adult diapers, including both tape-on and pull-up styles. Although it doesn’t include full reviews, their comparison chart contains useful information on absorbency and features. MoliCare’s Super Plus is rated the most absorbent and gets their top recommendation.
5.  Depend Incontinence Message Boards Incontinence Message Boards

Contributors to Depend Message Boards

As of Jan. 2008
reviews rating Although this message board is part of Depend’s website, contributors discuss and rate a variety of adult incontinence products. Although no user review is as objective as ratings by professional testers, there are several excellent posts here -- including some with comparative diaper ratings.
6.  Incontinence Support Group at Yahoo! Health Groups Incontinence Support Group Messages

Contributors to Incontinence Support Group

As of Jan. 2008
reviews rating Yahoo! Health Groups allow members to share information and support on a wide range of health-related topics -- including incontinence. Messages posted to the incontinence support group show members’ recommendations, as well as discussions of which brands work best in specific situations. Abena X-Plus diapers are popular here, as are Tranquility adult diapers.
7.  Amazon.com Protective Briefs and Underwear

Contributors to Amazon.com

As of Jan. 2008
reviews rating Amazon.com is an online retailer that allows users to post reviews of the products it sells, including a good selection of incontinence supplies. Several adult diapers have only one or two user reviews, though, and most have none at all. The few reviews that are posted do provide a good balance between positive and negative.
8.  Incontinence Support Center What type of diaper do you find is best?

Contributors to Incontinence Support Center

As of Jan. 2008
reviews rating The Incontinence Support Center provides a forum for information and mutual support for people coping with incontinence. While users have posted only a handful of specific brand recommendations, there is a good discussion of the pros and cons of both cloth and disposable diapers for adults.

9.  NorthShore Care Supply Adult Diapers

Editors of NorthShore Care Supply

As of Jan. 2008
reviews rating NorthShore Care Supply doesn’t review adult diapers, but it does give Tranquility’s All Through the Night (ATN) diaper its top recommendation, as well as its "rated number one by professionals" seal. While the descriptions mention excellent absorbency, it’s not clear how the product was tested or if Tranquility was compared to other brands of adult diapers.
10.  Epinions Adult Diapers

Contributors to Epinions

As of Jan. 2008
reviews rating Epinions is a site where consumers can post reviews of products with which they have experience. The format of Epinions reviews -- which includes pros, cons, a summary and an overall rating -- is conducive to balanced, detailed reviews. Very few adult diapers are covered, however, and reviews tend to be outdated for this product.
