Graco iMonitor Digital Video Baby Monitor Review

(*est. $200)

This page is part of a larger ConsumerSearch report on Baby Monitors which includes more reviews, analysis and a summary of the top-rated models.

What the reviewers like:
Some owners like the Graco iMonitor Digital Video baby monitor's fold-away screen and night vision capability. Introduced in 2007, the Graco is one of only a handful of video baby monitors available to consumers.

What the reviewers don't like:
Numerous owners complain about the iMonitor Video baby monitor's picture quality, saying it's blurry and dark with annoying digital artifacts. Reviewers also say the sound and video aren't always in sync.

Graco iMonitor Digital Video Baby Monitor review highlights

Ratings of the Graco iMonitor Digital Video baby monitor at user review sites are significantly below average. Experts discount the need for video monitors, which tend to do poorly in reviews in general. For those who still want video, both the MobiCam Ultra Wireless Color Video and Audio Monitoring System (*est. $130) and the Summer Infant Baby's Quiet Sounds Video Monitor (*$100) get somewhat better reviews than the Graco version.

The baby-gear book Baby Bargains, usually an excellent source of baby gear reviews, has very little to say about the relatively new Graco Video iMonitor other than to sum up early customer feedback. User reviews are also scarce, but posts at Amazon.com, Target.com, Sears.com and Epinions add up to a decent picture of how owners feel about the Video iMonitor's performance. This video baby monitor has not yet been reviewed at Consumer Reports.
