What the reviewers like:
Reviewers like the Graco iMonitor's 2000-foot range. They say it does an excellent job of reducing interference while still being sensitive enough to pick up a baby's quiet sounds. Accidental eavesdropping is not a problem with this digital baby monitor, according to parents. What the reviewers don't like: Many owners say the Graco iMonitor's rechargeable battery has a short run time and stops holding a full charge after a few weeks or months of normal use. Some reviewers say the advertised range of the Graco baby monitor is optimistic. Graco iMonitor review highlights Professional reviewers give the Graco iMonitor very good ratings, but owner-written reviews are mixed. Interference and accidental eavesdropping -- two common baby monitor problems -- are greatly reduced with the digital iMonitor. For even less interference, the pricey Philips Digital SCD 589 (*est. $160) is an option, but it costs far more. Both professional reviewers and owners criticize the battery life of the Graco iMonitor, but overall this model strikes the best blend of ease of use and clarity, with minimal interference. The iMonitor is available with either one or two parent receiver units. Both Baby Bargains and Consumer Reports include the Graco iMonitor in their excellent coverage of baby monitors. Consumer Reports ranks each model according to the results of independent tests. Baby Bargains, which relies on informal testing and extensive research, includes more detailed coverage of each brand's lineup. Owner-written reviews are another good source of information on baby monitors. Both Amazon.com and Target.com have a useful number of posts on the iMonitor. There are also some fairly helpful video reviews posted on ExpoTV.com. Also see full report: Baby Monitors *In order of credibility (see our Ratings Criteria).1.
