Peg-Perego Duette SW Review

(*est. $800)

This page is part of a larger ConsumerSearch report on Double Strollers which includes more reviews, analysis and a summary of the top-rated models.

What the reviewers like:
The Peg-Perego Duette SW double stroller has independent brakes and front swivel wheels, which both reviewers and owners agree make for a smooth ride. Parents like the Duette's removable, stain-resistant fabric, and they also appreciate its comfortable, well-padded, fully reclining seats. Users point out that the Peg-Perego Duette’s sun canopy fully covers its occupants (a feature that’s hard to find in any stroller) and that it can hold two compatible infant car seats.

What the reviewers don’t like:
Parents note that the Peg-Perego Duette SW lacks cup holders and doesn’t have the storage capacity of competing double strollers. Also, some owners say this stroller’s wheels need to be adjusted in order to fold it down, and that the Duette is bulky when collapsed. Finally, it hasn’t escaped notice that this stroller is as expensive as it is heavy (about 35 pounds).

Peg-Perego Duette SW review highlights

Though expensive, reviews say the Peg-Perego Duette SW is the best tandem double stroller, with the two seats situated one in front of the other. Parents say the Duette is sturdy, easy to clean, comfortable to push and offers good weather protection. Parents posting to user-review sites are impressed with this stroller’s smooth ride and fully reclining seats, and they like being able to seat kids back to back or facing one another. However, the Peg-Perego Duette stroller receives slightly lower marks for its ease of maneuvering, storage and folding capabilities. It also weighs a whopping 35 pounds. Parents agree that its price tag is steep, but that it holds its value well.

Parents interviewed for this website have mainly positive things to say about the Peg-Perego Duette double stroller, citing its four adjustable seat positions: back to back, forward or back in either direction, or facing one another. Owners say the Peg-Perego Duette tandem stroller offers a smooth ride, but its steering and folding can take getting used to. It also lacks the storage capacity of other strollers.

With only a handful of owner-written reviews, the Peg-Perego Duette SW scores 5 out of 10 points at this user-review site. Parents say the Duette’s long length makes it difficult to steer, and they’d like more storage space and a better cup holder. However, owners do like this stroller’s fully retractable sun visor and comfortable tandem-style seating.

A couple of dozen parents share their opinions about the Peg-Perego Duette double stroller, giving it high scores on the whole. Users like that this stroller is easy to push and gives its occupants a smooth ride. The fully reclining seats that allow kids to face one another are additional highlight.
