Don't Go to the Cosmetics Counter Without Me >> Details/Subscribe	Chapter Two: Fact Facts Paula Begoun 7th edition, 2008		In this book, author Paula Begoun reviews and rates products from more than 200 makeup and skin care lines. Begoun includes medical journals, industry reports and the FDA among her research sources. She discusses effectiveness, possible side effects and value. Eye cream reviews appear in the same category as facial moisturizers because she claims that they are exactly the same and can be used for the same purposes. Begoun has reviewed virtually all of the products other reviewers have tried, making her book an excellent cross-reference, but the information may be a little overboard for someone who just wants to learn about eye creams. In general, however, it's an excellent resource on cosmetic products.
2. CosmeticsCop.com	The Best of 2007 Paula Begoun As of Apr. 2008		After reviewing hundreds of beauty products for her newsletters and beauty bulletins, Paula Begoun lists the best products of 2007. Each product earns a brief description of why it works and how it is formulated. While Begoun does believe that the delicate eye area needs daily moisturizing, she also says that any good facial moisturizer will do. That said, she includes Kinerase Pro+ Therapy Ultra Rich Eye Repair in her list of top rated products, but says that it is effective for the entire face. Along with product reviews, CosmeticsCop.com also provides useful skin care information that can be found on the "Learn" section of the website.

Natural Health >> Details/Subscribe	Winning Way Oless Pindak Oct. 2007		For their third annual beauty awards, Natural Health partnered up with dermatologists and readers to test and rate hundreds of new natural beauty products. Products are tested for effectiveness as well as safety (based on the ingredients list) and each has a natural component to it. Readers help to evaluate the products based on price, availability and familiarity. One winner is listed for each category for a total of 27 top picks. Clinique All About Eyes Rich takes the top honor for natural eye creams.

Allure >> Details/Subscribe	Best of Beauty Awards 2007 – Master List Allure Editors Oct. 2007		Allure editors, along with cosmetics chemists and dermatologists, test nearly 2,000 products and choose 187 as the best in their respective categories. The products tested include new and old eye creams alike in order to find the best on the market. 2007's winners include Relastin Eye Silk, Patricia Wexler M.D. Fastscription Instant De-Puff Eye Gel and Murad Lighten and Brighten Eye Treatment. However, eye creams are not compared, nor are they criticized or described in depth.
5. Health >> Details/Subscribe	The Best Beauty Buys of 2007 Jolene Edgar Nov. 2007		Health magazine editors team up with a panel of dermatologists to test and rate new beauty products from 2007. Only the top 25 are listed, but there is a winner in every category and each listing includes a description detailing its benefits. The judging criteria, however, is unclear. SkinCeuticals Eye Gel, AOX+ is chosen as the best eye product, but it isn't compared to others. Vichy Reti-C Intensive Corrective Care SPF 15 is also listed as the best anti-aging moisturizer for eyes, but again, is not compared to other products.

Shape magazine >> Details/Subscribe	The Best of the Beauty Aisle: Shape of Beauty 2007 Awards Sally Wadyka Sept. 2007		This is the fourth consecutive year in which Shape magazine rates beauty products. They claim that over 4,000 readers, along with Shape staff and beauty experts, weighed in on several products in each of 23 categories. Each category includes picks in both the drugstore and higher-end price ranges. Avon Anew Alternative Intensive Eye Cream and Lancome High Resolution Eye with Collaser-48 (discontinued) earn the top ratings in the eye care category.

InStyle >> Details/Subscribe	141 Best Beauty Buys Elizabeth Passavella Apr. 2008		InStyle magazine interviews nearly 200 experts and tests hundreds of products in every beauty category from cleansers and moisturizers to shampoos and conditioners. Two eye creams make the list for the Face Treatment category. L'Oreal Advanced RevitaLift Double Eye Lift is chosen as the best eye cream for wrinkles and Prescriptives Vibrant-C Skin Brightening Eye Cream is chosen for fighting puffiness and dark circles. However, editors aren't detailed in their reasoning as to why these are chosen over others.
8. Natural Health >> Details/Subscribe	Eye Creams Emmy Favilla Mar. 2008		Editors at Natural Health magazine test more than 80 eye treatments and choose four winners and four runners up. Their eye cream categories are for nighttime, tired eyes, fine lines and dry skin -- but editors don't discuss what ingredients or attributes are best for each of these conditions, nor do they question whether you need a special eye cream. Murad Eye Treatment Complex SPF8, Olay Definity Eye Illuminator, Zia Ultimate Eye Crème and Shikai Borage Dry Skin Therapy Eye Cream are chosen as editor's picks. Runners-up include products from Dove, Nature's Gate, Weleda and Vichy.

Natural Health >> Details/Subscribe	Supreme Eye Creams Emmu Favilla Feb. 2008		Eye creams appear to be a hot topic at Natural Health, which has published two articles in the course of a two months by the same writer. What's odd here is that the products featured in the more recent review don't quite match those in this slightly older review. The "runners up" in the more recent review are featured here as top rated.
10. MakeupAlley.com	Eye Treatments Contributors to MakeupAlley.com As of Apr. 2008		Over 800 eye treatments are reviewed by members of this website. Product reviews can be sorted in a multitude of ways, making it easy for users to find the highest-rated products as well as those that are reviewed most often. Some products receive hundreds of reviews while others receive only a few. Among those with many reviews, Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado and Avon Anew Clinical Eye Lift receive the highest ratings.
11. CEW.org	2007 Insider's Choice Beauty Winners CEW Associates Not Dated		Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW) lists their 2007 Beauty Award winners. Products are chosen by a group of voters that consists of CEW members, industry professionals and beauty experts. CEW.org claims that its award is "the beauty industry's highest honor" and it's given to "the most innovative beauty products of the year." Categories for the award include bath & body, facial skincare and makeup, among others. Each category has several subcategories with both high- and low-priced winners. Both Avon Anew Clinical Eye Lift and Tweezerman After Tweeze Soothing Cream make the list for winning eye treatments.
12. Cosmopolitan >> Details/Subscribe	Beauty Awards 2007 Editors of Cosmopolitan Oct. 2007		Editors of Cosmopolitan magazine list top beauty picks for 2007. There are several products chosen for face, body and hair categories, and each features a brief explanation of why it was chosen. Eye treatments are listed under the "eye enhancers" category, where Prescriptives Anti-Age Advanced Protection Eye Cream SPF 25 is chosen as the best "Dream Cream." Unfortunately, there's no commentary here that describes how editors chose these products over others, however.

14. Drugstore.com	Eye Treatments Contributors to Drugstore.com As of May 2008		Consumers can read and post reviews for products sold at Drugstore.com, which include several personal care items. Most of the eye treatments listed are reviewed at least once, but a few of them have accumulated upwards of 30 reviews. Of those with the most reviews, Burt's Bees Beeswax & Royal Jelly Eye Cream, RoC Retinol Correxion Eye Cream, Olay Regenerist Eye Lifting Serum, Philosophy Hope in a Tube Eye and Lip Firming Cream rate the highest.

Top products are listed under face, body, makeup, hair and sun categories. Guerlain Orchidee Imperiale Eye and Lip Cream is picked as the best eye cream, though no information is given as to why it is chosen.
