Mountain Buggy Breeze Review

(*est. $330)

This page is part of a larger ConsumerSearch report on Jogging Strollers which includes more reviews, analysis and a summary of the top-rated models.

What the reviewers like:
Owners praise the Mountain Buggy Breeze's small profile, reasonable 19-pound weight, and ability to navigate various terrains, especially uneven sidewalks. The fully reclining, adjustable seat is a plus.

What the reviewers don't like:
The high price is the main drawback of the Mountain Buggy Breeze, which most parents consider more appropriate as a second, lightweight stroller for neighborhood walks rather than a primary vehicle. Some say the seat is a little small.

Mountain Buggy Breeze review highlights

The 19-pound Mountain Buggy Breeze is lightweight three-wheeled all-terrain stroller. This stroller, which isn't meant for jogging, is more compact than most all-terrain strollers. Its fixed front wheel makes for a stable ride on uneven sidewalks and trails, but to make turns, you'll need to lift up the front wheel by pushing down on the handles. Although this makes it a little more difficult to maneuver in stores, owners say it's light enough that this isn't a problem. If you want a three-wheeled stroller but are bothered by the weight and bulk of most models, reviewers say the Mountain Buggy Breeze is well built. A few note that the seat is a little small, and that for a lightweight stroller, it's expensive.

We were only able to find a few reviews of the Mountain Buggy Breeze, all of them from parents who approach (and sometimes exceed) the know-how of experts in their evaluations of strollers. One contributor to Epinions writes a long, multi-section, well-thought-out review of the Mountain Buggy Breeze, while a fair number of parents post their experiences to JoggingStroller.com. Unfortunately, we did not see the Mountain Buggy Breeze compared to other strollers.

There's only one review of the Mountain Buggy Breeze on this site, but it goes into an incredible amount of detail. The poster says he and his wife and toddler live in a hilly section of Los Angeles, so the Breeze (with its 10-inch wheels) is a "perfect outdoor stroller." However, he's unhappy with its high price, and notes that it's not a true jogging stroller.

JoggingStroller.com offers brief editorial reviews, followed by posts from parents. The writer calls the Breeze ideal for urban parents with a limited amount of space, but stresses that this stroller's small (10-inch) wheels make it inappropriate for running and that it has a fixed front wheel. Parents are very happy, although one complains that the stroller is too small for her 75-pound five-year-old.
