Combi Cosmo Review

(*est. $60 to $100, depending on model)

This page is part of a larger ConsumerSearch report on Full-Featured Strollers which includes more reviews, analysis and a summary of the top-rated models.

What the reviewers like:
Parents praise the Combi Cosmo ST and DX/EX strollers for being lightweight, compact, and easy to fold.

What the reviewers don't like:
Some parents note the "flimsy" feel of the Combi Cosmo strollers. Although the handle bar is intended to allow one-handed steering, many parents say it's extremely difficult to steer. Other negative points are the limited storage and handles that are too short for tall parents.

Combi Cosmo review highlights

Although the Combi Cosmo ST is not highly rated by professional reviewers, most parents are happy with the Cosmo strollers, which are hinged in the middle to fold, unlike typical umbrella strollers. The 12-pound Cosmo ST has a one-hand fold, reclining seat, three-point harness, canopy, carrying strap, and a removable front napper bar. The 13-pound DX/EX stroller adds a five-point harness, a washable seat cushion, and a removable cup holder. We found some complaints about a "flimsy" feel and unsuitability for big kids. More troubling are the reports that the Combi Cosmo is extremely difficult to steer. At the same price as the DX/EX, the Maclaren Volo (*est. $100) gets the best reviews for an umbrella stroller, albeit with fewer features than the Combi.

The Combi Cosmo ST (*est. $60) is included in Consumer Reports’ most recent review of strollers. The Cosmo DX and EX (*est. $100) add a few features to the ST; the differences between these two models are the availability and colors. We found some owner feedback about the Combi Cosmo strollers at Amazon.com and Epinions.
