Toms of Maine Natural Anticavity Baking Soda Fluoride Toothpaste, Peppermint

ADA approved. Fluoride plus xylitol, no saccharin or sorbitol. Abrasive is calcium carbonate (chalk) toothpaste, less abrasive than hydrated silica but also with less stain removing power.

Sensodyne Pronamel

No ADA seal or xylitol but contains fluoride plus potassium nitrate (to combat tooth sensitivity). Contains no sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) that dentists say can irritate gums and the lining of the mouth. Neutral pH. Hydrated silica for stain removal, but low abrasiveness.
