This page is part of a larger ConsumerSearch report on Umbrella Strollers which includes more reviews, analysis and a summary of the top-rated models.

What the reviewers like:
The Peg-Perego Aria OH is a nice looking lightweight umbrella stroller, available in a bunch of bright, modern colors. Peg-Perego strollers in general are known for durability (though we did see complaints about this particular model). The sun canopy is improved.

What the reviewers don't like:
Some reviewers say the Peg-Perego Aria OH isn't as easy to maneuver or fold as it could be. In expert testing, this stroller collapsed repeatedly when being pulled up stairs. Some recent parent reviews report durability problems with the Aria.

Peg-Perego Aria OH Classico review highlights

We found mixed reviews for the 10-pound Peg-Perego Aria OH Classico stroller. Professional testing uncovered a possible safety issue as the Aria collapsed repeatedly while being pulled up stairs. While the Aria is very lightweight, some say it's not very easy to steer. The reclining seat doesn't fully recline for infants, and once you recline the seat, the basket can be hard to reach. One plus is that the sun canopy has been improved over previous versions of the Peg-Perego Aria. Also, we found reports that the stroller could be easier to fold. Although Peg-Perego strollers in general are known for durability, a few recent postings indicate the Aria may have durability problems. For the money, we found better reviews for the less expensive Maclaren Triumph (*est. $150), which gets better scores for maneuverability.

The Peg-Perego Aria OH Classico stroller is tested along with more than 30 other strollers by Consumer Reports. We also found a write-up of this umbrella stroller by ConsumerGuide.com. Unfortunately, as is often the case with this site, it's hard to tell the difference between critical evaluation and marketing copy, and ConsumerGuide's opening line doesn't demonstrate much credibility: "Looking for a budget-minded lightweight stroller with the comfort, features and appeal of a full-sized model?" We did find some insightful owner-written reviews at Amazon.com and Target.com.

2. Consumer Guide.com

June 5, 2007

In this laudatory write-up, ConsumerGuide.com makes a breezy reference to testing, but the review still reads as if it were taken from Peg-Perego's press kit. The only negative referenced here is that the Aria "has the look of a lightweight stroller."

3. Baby-Gaga.com
Peg-Perego Aria MT
Editors of Baby-Gaga.com

This review is for the previous version of the Peg-Perego Aria. The newer OH version has a larger canopy, but otherwise is very similar. This review raises questions about maneuverability, child comfort and ease of folding. Ratings are based on editor testing plus parent interviews.

4. Target.com
Peg-Perego Aria Stroller Reviews
Contributors to Target.com

The Aria receives mostly good ratings here, with parents calling it light and maneuverable. However, there are some comments that the one-hand fold could be easier to manage.

5. Amazon.com
Peg-Perego Aria Stroller Reviews
Contributors to Amazon.com

One parent posting here raves about the Aria OH, but another says she chose the Maclaren Quest Sport instead, calling the OH difficult to fold with a less comfortable ride. About two dozen parents post about the various colors of the Peg-Perego Aria at Amazon.com. While some rave about this stroller, others find it difficult to fold and not durable.
