What the reviewers like:
Given its budget price, reviews for the Epic 450MX have been generally favorable. Testers say that this machine is sturdy and that its 20" x 55" walking belt is wider than some others in this price range. The 300-pound user weight capacity is also a plus for heavier individuals.

What the reviewers don't like:
Although the frame is warranted for ten years, the rest of the Epic 450MX has only a 90-day warranty for other parts and labor. Other treadmills in this price range have a better warranty.

Epic 450MX review highlights

Given its budget price, reviews are generally good for the Epic 450MX. Its 55" x 20" belt is a bit wider than some others in this price range, and it has a comparatively high user weight capacity of 300 pounds. Unfortunately, its 90-day parts warranty is a major downside. Other reviewed treadmills in this price range, such as the New Balance 1400 (*est. $1,000), have much better warranties.

We also found a reliable notice at Treadmill-Ratings-Reviews.com, where the Epic 450MX tops the list in the sub-$1,000 category. Consumer Reports does not include the Epic 450MX in its latest round of treadmill testing, however.
