What the reviewers like:
Experts are impressed by the New Balance 1500's powerful, 2.5-hp motor and wide (56" x 20") running deck. This treadmill also offers some innovative features, such as automatic belt adjustment.

After trying out a New Balance 1500 at his local Sports Authority, the writer says this treadmill is "nothing fancy," but adds that it’s a solid machine with innovative features like automatic belt adjustment. However, he says the display looks cheap, the warranty is lacking, and he's disappointed by the "rigid" deck.

The Stevenson brothers are less impressed with the New Balance 1500 than they are with its less-expensive sibling, the New Balance 1400. They call the New Balance 1500 a "well-thought-out treadmill that can still use some refinement" and say Sole makes better machines in this price range.
