Smooth 6.25 treadmill Review

(*est. $1,600)

This page is part of a larger ConsumerSearch report on Treadmills which includes more reviews, analysis and a summary of the top-rated models.

What the reviewers like:
Reviewers praise the Smooth 6.25 treadmill's easy folding mechanism and say its belt is quiet. The Smooth warranty is better than most, with a longer than usual parts warranty of two years. An included heart-rate monitor is a plus. Overall, experts say the Smooth 6.25 is a good choice for those who will mainly be walking, with an occasional light run.

What the reviewers don't like:
The Smooth 6.25 weighs a relatively beefy 260 pounds, which contributes to its solid and stable feel, but also makes it difficult to move (even though it does fold up). As with all Smooth treadmills, the price includes shipping to your curb, but inside delivery and setup cost extra.

Smooth 6.25 treadmill review highlights

Reviewers say the Smooth 6.25 is a good choice for occasional runners. The 54" x 20" belt is a little short in this price range, but the Smooth 6.25 does fold up for storage and has a handgrip heart-rate monitor (with optional chest strap). Its relatively low weight capacity of 275 pounds makes it more appropriate for lighter individuals. Overall, most experts think the Smooth 6.25 is a good value for those who will mainly be walking, but it has serious competition in the Sole F80 (*est. $1,500), which has a slightly longer belt, costs less and has a slightly better warranty.

A lot of the reviews we found online for the Smooth 6.25 treadmill seem as if they could have been written by the same author. Reviews at Treadmill-Ratings-Reviews.com, TreadmillTips.com and ExerciseEquipmentExpert.com are all remarkably similar. Instead, we think the most credible review for the Smooth 6.25 treadmill is found at TreadmillDoctor.com, which evaluates more treadmills than any other source, yet doesn't actually sell treadmills. Postings from owners to Amazon.com provide helpful insight into Smooth's customer service.
