What the reviewers don't like:
At least one reviewer maintains that Vision treadmills are lacking in overall quality. Some reviews say that Vision's use of wax on the tread belt can cause wear and tear over long-term use. Also, the Vision Fitness T9200 Simple lacks built-in workout programs and a heart-rate monitor.

Vision Fitness T9200 Simple review highlights

Reviewers are conflicted about the Vision Fitness T9200 Simple, a non-folding treadmill with a belt size of 54" x 20" and a 325-pound weight limit. A couple of reviews say it's a good value, but others disparage the general build quality of Vision Fitness treadmills and criticize the T9200's lack of built-in workout programs or heart-rate control. Most reviews say a better choice in this price range would be the Sole F63 (*est. $1,400) or Sole F80 (*est. $1,500).

In addition to Consumer Reports magazine, which includes this treadmill in its most recent roundup, the Vision Fitness T9200 Simple treadmill is reviewed by a number of specialty sites, including TreadmillSensei.com, TreadmillDoctor.com, TreadmillTips.com, Treadmill-Ratings-Reviews.com and ExerciseEquipmentExpert.com. 2. TreadmillSensei.com

Treadmill Sensei"
Apr. 19, 2007

The Treadmill Sensei, who owns a treadmill service and repair business and also reviews and tests treadmills, is not kind to the T9200 Simple: "with a shorter belt, no programs, lack of heart rate monitoring and control, and a smallish motor, the T9200 specs out quite a bit under everything else in its $1300 price range."

3. TreadmillDoctor.com
Vision T9200 Simple Review
Clark & Jon Stevenson

Since this site doesn't actually sell treadmills, its reviews are more reliable than most. However, the blurb for the Vision T9200 Simple doesn't quite add up. On the top, it's called "one of the few sub-$1500 treadmills that can be run upon without too much worry," but on the bottom, the Stevenson brothers add, "with more and more factories producing entry-level machines, the luster is off this model."

4. TreadmillTips.com
Vision Treadmills Review
Aaron Co

According to Aaron Co, Vision Fitness is one of the best foreign-based treadmill manufacturers. However, he says Vision treadmills aren't known for their quality, and he dislikes the use of wax on the tread belts (which he says can cause added wear and tear).

5. Treadmill-Ratings- Reviews.com
Vision Fitness Treadmill Review
Fred Waters

Oddly enough, while Treadmilltips.com says the quality of Vision Fitness treadmills is an issue, Waters claims "Vision's philosophy is to build treadmills using quality components." He presents the use of wax on the tread belts as a plus, while another source says this causes added wear and tear.

6. Exercise-Equipment- Review.com
Vision T9200 Treadmill Review
Editors of ExerciseEquipmentExpert.com

The editors of this site say the Vision T9200 Simple treadmill looks like a good bargain at first. However, they criticize its lack of built-in workout programs or wireless heart-rate control, and they recommend the comparably priced Sole F63 instead.
