What the reviewers like:
In tests, the Bosch Premium Electro Duo canister vacuum does a very good job cleaning both carpets and bare floors, and there are no complaints about its reliability or build quality.

For its price, the Bosch Electro Duo canister vacuum lacks some amenities like a headlamp, and a couple of reviews say the cord is a little short. Mainly, reviewers question its high price.

Bosch Premium Electro Duo review highlights

Overall, the verdict on the Bosch Premium Electro Duo canister vacuum is that it's a very good canister vacuum -- but that it's not worth the $600 price premium over other highly rated canister vacuums, such as the Hoover WindTunnel 3765-040 (*est. $175). This bagging Bosch canister vacuum comes with most of the extras, including suction control, overload protection and a brush on-off switch, but it lacks a headlamp. One source also complains that it has a shorter-than-average cord.

Only one American source reviews the high-priced Bosch Premium Electro Duo canister vacuum: Consumer Reports includes this Bosch canister vacuum in its recent roundup, in which 22 models are tested over the equivalent of eleven miles of carpeting and bare floors. The Bosch canister vacuum is also tested in depth by two overseas consumer publications, Which.co.uk in the UK and Choice.com.au in Australia.

Consumer Reports is the only American review source to cover the Bosch Premium Electric Duo, including this canister vacuum in its recent roundup of 22 models. A ratings chart is included, and canister vacuums are tested for cleaning ability on carpet and bare floors.

In its latest roundup, editors at Which.co.uk thoroughly tests over 60 uprights and canister vacuums on different floor types, as well as with pet hair. Bosch canister vacuums are among those tested, with very good results.

Testing is just as thorough as at Consumer Reports, but since this publication is aimed at the Australian market, many of the tested canister vacuums aren't available in the United States.
