As with other Dyson upright vacuums, owners and reviewers have nothing but good things to say about the suction and power of the Dyson All Floors DC14. One source, the British consumer publication Which.co.uk, says the newest Dyson upright vacuums are better constructed than the older Dyson vacs.

What the reviewers don't like:
There are mixed notices about the usefulness of the Dyson DC14 All Floors on hard floors. Reviewers also say the newer Dyson Animal DC17 has more power and is easier to handle.

Unlike some other sources, Mifflin has no issues with the Dyson's performance on hard floors. The Dyson isn't compared head-to-head with any other upright vacuums.

The pseudonymous author of this review -- a trainer in the carpet-cleaning industry -- gives the Dyson DC14 All Floors a high score, calling its suction "superb." However, he says the Dyson All Floors DC14 is fairly heavy and has "adequate but not excellent performance" on wood floors. It also has a hard-to-reach foot lever for switching from carpet to hard-floor use.
