The Kenmore 35923 Progressive is said to perform very well on both carpeting and bare floors, with a useful crevice tool and good emissions. Owners especially like this vacuum's ability to pick up pet hair. It's also fairly priced.

Reviewers say the Kenmore 35923 Progressive comes with good tools and does a good job controlling emissions. Furthermore, it cleans very well on both carpeting and hard floors. However, some owners balk at this vacuum's relatively heavy weight (21 pounds), which makes it hard to handle and carry up and down stairs, as well as criticize its lack of self-propulsion or a retractable cord.

Although Consumer Reports doesn't specifically test the bagging Kenmore 35923 Progressive in its latest roundup, the editors do try out the Kenmore 35922, which differs only in its tools (the 35922 comes with a dusting brush/upholstery tool, while the Kenmore 3593 has a crevice tool).
