Vita-Mix 4500 review highlights

Reviews indicate that this blender is a champ at pulverizing whole fruits and vegetables, turning ice to powder, and even crushing wheat berries into flour. The Vita-Mix is also capable of turning room-temperature ingredients into hot soup in minutes. The only complaints we read center on its large size, cost, and noise. If you can afford it -- and you have room for it -- reviews say that this is among the very best blenders you can buy.

The Vita-Mix 4500 has not been included in professional reviews, but its sibling, the 5000, has. In addition, more than 20 consumers have posted reviews of this model to Amazon.com and Epinions.com.
