What the reviewers like:
Of the hundreds of owner-written reviews we found for the Cuisinart Grind and Brew Thermal coffee maker, at least half are very happy, saying that the coffee tastes great and that the machine is nice looking at easy to use. The Grind and Brew Thermal is also less expensive than some other grinder/brewer coffee makers.

What the reviewers don't like:
The Cuisinart Grind and Brew Thermal is a polarizing appliance -- it seems owners tend to either love it or hate it. While some are perfectly satisfied, a large number of owners complain about durability. In particular, many owners comment that the filter basket can pop open during brewing, resulting in a big mess. Others are disappointed that the grinder isn't very consistent, and that you cannot control the fineness of the grind.

Cuisinart Grind and Brew Thermal DGB-600BC review highlights

When it comes to the Cuisinart Grind and Brew Thermal DGB-600BC, there doesn't seem to be a lot of middle ground in reviews -- owners apparently either love or hate this coffee maker, which combines a bean grinder and automatic-drip coffee maker in one machine. It also has a thermal carafe to keep coffee hot without continuing to 'cook' on a hot plate. While about half of the owners posting comments seem perfectly happy, the other half offer complaints that the Cuisinart DGB-600BC has durability issues, particularly with a filter door that can pop open during brewing. Overall, if you want a grinder/brewer combo coffee maker, the Capresso Coffee Team S (*est. $200) gets more consistently good ratings and is a reviewer favorite in this category.

Although the Cuisinart Grind and Brew Thermal coffee maker isn't included in many professional reviews, we found a huge number of owner-written reviews for this model (over 700). Although the Cuisinart DGB-600BC is included in a comparison test of 34 coffee makers at Consumer Reports, editors don’t explain why the Grind and Brew is better or worse than others.

Consumer Reports tests 34 drip coffee makers for this report, including the Cuisinart Grind and Brew Thermal coffee maker. Models are rated on convenience, brewing ability and carafe design. However, there's no rating for coffee taste, and because every coffee maker doesn't get a write-up, it's hard to tell exactly why some models are rated lower than others.
