The Cuisinart DLC-1 Mini-Prep has cord storage, and it's easy to clean, say many owners. What the Reviewers Don’t Like: Some reviewers say hard cheeses can cause the Cuisinart DLC-1 Mini-Prep to choke, and it turns wet foods, such as tomatoes, to mush instead of chopping them evenly. Cuisinart DLC-1 Mini-Prep review highlights Reviews for the Cuisinart DLC-1 are mixed: Although reviews say it can chop garlic and onions reasonably well, it couldn't purée cooked peas and carrots. A number of owners say their Cuisinart choppers were short-lived. Reviews indicate that the KitchenAid Chef's Chopper KFC3100 (*est. $40), which costs $10 more, is quieter and does a better job at most tasks. Consumer Reports put the Cuisinart DLC-1 Mini-Prep,chopper along with seven other mini food processors and choppers, through rigorous tests in 2006 and more than 20 owners have posted reviews of this 21-ounce capacity model at Epinions and Amazon.com. That's enough owner feedback to gauge owner satisfaction. We didn't see it evaluated by other professional publications like Good Housekeeping or Cook's Illustrated yet.
