What the Reviewers Like:
Most reviewers say the Cuisinart DLC-10S is efficient, and the blade stops turning almost immediately after you release the lever, reducing the likelihood of overworking dough. Hundreds of owners give this food processor high marks overall.

Cuisinart DLC-10S review highlights

Owners give this 7-cup Cuisinart food processor some of the best feedback of any food processor with a capacity of less than 10 cups. It carries an impressive five-year warranty on the motor and a limited three-year warranty on the entire food processor. In general, KitchenAid food processors earn better overall scores in professional tests than Cuisinart food processors, but Cuisinart models are said to do an especially good job with pie pastry and bread dough. If you're looking for a small- to medium-capacity food processor, reviews indicate the Cuisinart DLC-10S is a good choice.

Although the Cuisinart DLC-10S has not been professionally reviewed at Cook's Illustrated or Good Housekeeping, it has accumulated more than 100 owner reviews at Amazon.com and Epinions. That imparts a good impression of overall owner satisfaction in the Cuisinart full-size food processor. Frustratingly, this model hasn't been included in tests at Consumer Reports, even though editors have tested 11-cup and 14-cup Cuisinart food processors.

The Cuisinart DLC-10S has accumulated over 100 owner reviews at Amazon.com, and it maintains a very high average rating. Most owners are happy with this machine, which they say is powerful and sturdy. The few complaints we found center on the plastic parts, which some owners say are somewhat fragile. They also note that there are many parts to clean.
