What the Reviewers Don't Like:
The Cuisinart CCJ-100 Citrus Pro is said to be too lightweight to function properly. Owners say the pulp catcher clogs easily. The vast majority of owners complain about the spout, which is said to protrude only ¼-inch from the base. Even owners who like this machine say that the auto-reverse feature is unpredictable.

Cuisinart CCJ-100 Citrus Pro Juicer review highlights

Interestingly, the Cuisinart CCJ-100 Citrus Pro juicer gets low scores from owners posting to Amazon.com and Epinions, but it is "top-rated" at Cooking.com. Owners say that the spout is too short to place a glass squarely underneath it, resulting in some spillage. They add that this lightweight juicer has a tendency to move across the counter, and that tendency is exacerbated by the Citrus Pro's auto-reverse feature, which is supposed to increase juice yield. Overall, reviews say that the Black & Decker Citrus Mate Plus (*est. $20) is a better citrus juicer for the price.

This Cuisinart CCJ-100 Citrus Pro is not included in any professional reviews, but we read several dozen reviews at Amazon.com, which is the best place to judge overall owner satisfaction. The Cuisinart CCJ-100 has also accumulated about a dozen reviews on both Epinions and Cooking.com.

1. Amazon.com

Contributors to Amazon.com

The Cuisinart CCJ-100 Citrus Pro comes up short in Amazon.com reviews; of about 50 owners posting, half give the Citrus Pro the lowest possible rating. This little citrus press is plagued with design flaws, say owners. Not only is the spout too short, the unit refuses to stay put during juicing. The result is a sticky mess, say owners. A few owners who like it wonder what the fuss is all about, but even they concede that it spins on the counter.

2. Epinions

Contributors to Epinions

The Cuisinart CCJ-100 is one of the least liked of the juicers at Epinions, with a low average rating in about a dozen reviews. Owners complain of clogged strainers, wobbly bases, and mess. We also read some complaints about durability.

3. Cooking.com
