What the Reviewers Like:
At three pounds, this juicer is light enough to store when not in use. The Health Smart does have a safety lock to prevent it from being accidentally turned on.

What The Reviewers Don't Like:
Professional testers and owners say the Hamilton Beach Health Smart does not extract as much juice from fruit as other juicers, so you spend more on produce. Owners say the white plastic housing is susceptible to stains.

Hamilton Beach Health Smart 67800H review highlights

Reviews say that the Hamilton Beach Health Smart's all-plastic construction is prone to staining. In Discountjuicer's tests, the Health Smart splashed juice on the counter. Owners complain that the Health Smart's feed chute is too small, requiring you to chop produce into small pieces before juicing. Furthermore, the leftover pulp is wet, indicating inadequate juice extraction. Although the Health Smart is one of the least expensive juicers on the market, reviews indicate it's not a good value. We found vastly better reviews for the Breville Compact Juice Fountain (*est. $80) and Hamilton Beach's own Big Mouth juicer (*est. $70) than we did for the Health Smart.

Although the Hamilton Beach Health Smart juicer has not been included in rigorous professional testing, it is the subject of a review at Discountjuicers.com, where John Kohler compares its construction and features to that of the L'Equip 110.5 (*est. $110). Owners posting to Amazon.com and Target.com give this juicer a very low average rating, but in only a handful of reviews.

The L'Equip Mini Juicer vs The Hamilton Beach Health Smart Juice Extractor
John Kohler

At this retail website, John Kohler pits two compact juicers against each other in juicing tests. The L'Equip 110.5 emerges the clear victor over the Hamilton Beach Health Smart with better build quality, quieter operation, and greater juice extraction. Testers noted that the Health Smart's juice was gritty because holes in the filter allow more fibrous material to seep into juice.

There are not many reviews for the Hamilton Beach Health Smart juicer at Amazon.com, but what's here doesn't look good. Several owners say that large quantities of produce yield relatively little juice. We also read reports of leakage.

About 80% of the reviews here for the Hamilton Beach Health Smart juicer are negative. Although one owner is pleased with the Health Smart's ease of use and low price, the others are disgruntled. The unhappy owners say that although you pay a low price for the juicer, you lose money buying produce that isn't fully juiced.

4. Epinions
Hamilton Beach Health Smart Juice Extractor Reviews

The Health Smart juicer receives mixed scores from about a dozen owners at Epinions. While some owners say it's a good starter unit, others complain of breakage and splattered pulp.
