This page is part of a larger ConsumerSearch report on Juicers which includes more reviews, analysis and a summary of the top-rated models.

What the Reviewers Like:
This juicer rotates more slowly than its smaller sibling, the L'Equip 110.5, reducing the likelihood of heat buildup and degradation of nutrients. Lower speed also means less foam. The feed chute is large and cleanup is easy, reviews say.

What the Reviewers Don't Like:
Several owners of the L'Equip 221 juicer complain of wobbling and breakage. Some also say that this juicer is noisy. We found better reviews overall for other models in this price range.

L'Equip 221 review highlights

The L'Equip 221 is a centrifugal-ejection juicer, which means that it ejects pulp into a collection bin. Reviews say that this process simplifies clean-up, but these juicers' rapid spinning makes them somewhat noisy. Reviews of the L'Equip 221 juicer are divided between those who say that this juicer is well engineered, speedy, and easy to clean, and those who say that it's prone to breaking. Although he sells this juicer on his website, John Kohler of Discountjuicers.com has issued an advisory against this juicer based on what he calls "quality-control issues." He recommends the L'Equip 110.5 (*est. $110), which he says is more efficient and durable. The Breville BJE200XL Juice Fountain Compact (*est. $80) and Breville Juice Fountain Plus (*est. $300) are better options in this price range, according to reviews.

The L'Equip 221 juicer has received about a dozen owner-written reviews at Amazon.com and another dozen at Epinions. John Kohler of Discountjuicers.com, a juicer e-tailer, included it in his juicer round-up.
