Owner reviews are mixed, with some owners praising the unit's power and others criticizing the design. Some owners say that their mixers were short-lived. The PowerSelect is moderately priced for a top-rated mixer. The Braun MultiMix 4-in-1 M880 (*est. $40) performs nearly on a par with the Cusinart PowerSelect in testing, but experts find its design less ergonomic. The less expensive Cuisinart PowerSelect CHM-3 (*est. $30) is similar, but with three speeds instead of seven; it's recommended by Good Housekeeping editors.
